Café, Reception & Salon Furniture Fit Out
Elysium Wellness Center (and Beauty Salon) were moving into a brand new, purpose-built and visually stunning building in Bassingbourn, near Royston, Hertfordshire.
As part of their preparations, they turned to Source One Consulting to undertake the design and furniture fit out of the cafe and reception areas plus a bespoke nail bar for the treatment room.

Commercial design to furniture installation
We worked with owners, Justina and Julianne, on creating a modern reception area, allowing for relevant storage. In addition, we also designed and built a bespoke nail bar, which sits in one of the treatment rooms in the Spa area of the build.
However, we must say our favourite aspect of the project was the creation of the new café area!
Café fitout
The café required detailed design and space planning to ensure that we could fit in all of the equipment, counter tops while still leaving room for staff and customers to move! Of course, a lot of time was also taken to ensure the best finishes to match the high quality feel of the adjoining salon.
The fitting of the café involved templating the curved worktop, building a housing for the fridge freezer, and tank-cutting the worktop in necessary areas so that all equipment finished flush with the worktop.
We installed a tall, wipe-down upstand, creating a two-tone effect to the café, which matched with the modesty panel at the front, the housing of the fridge freezer and the inner backboards of the display units.
We also carried out all necessary plumbing and electrical works so that everything was covered, allowing works to be completed to meet the deadline.

2-week turnaround
The planning of the project had been progressing during lockdown but the announcement to ease the restrictions resulted in us having just 2 weeks from templating the café to fitting date. This was an unexpectedly tight deadline, but our team got it done with a bit of time to spare!

- Fitting out reception including storage area
- Designing and building a bespoke nail bar in the the treatment room
- Fitting out cafe including curved worktop, housing for the fridge freezer, tall, wipe-down upstand
