Noise reducing Ceiling Panels, Screens, Partitions and Pods
If your office is too noisy, people can’t concentrate. Conversations bleed into each other. Calls are difficult. Meetings feel exposed. Staff get tired, and work suffers for it.
But the goal isn’t silence either. A space that’s too dead has its own problems… voices carry strangely, it feels uncomfortable, and the environment becomes oddly tense.
What you’re actually after is balance. A space where people can think, talk and meet without fighting the room.
That’s what we help with. Source One Consulting is a family-run commercial interiors business rooted in East Anglia. We’ve been improving workplaces since 2002 – and acoustic work has been part of that from the start, particularly as open-plan offices have become the norm and noise has become one of the most common complaints we hear.

How we approach it
A lot of businesses try the obvious things first — rearranging furniture, moving noisy equipment, setting guidelines about phone calls. Sometimes that’s enough. Often it isn’t.
When the noise problem persists, it usually needs a measured approach rather than a best guess.
We start by testing the space. Using impulse noise testing, we measure reverberation times to understand exactly how sound is behaving in your rooms. That tells us what’s actually causing the problem and how much treatment is needed to fix it — not more, not less.
From there we recommend the right combination of solutions, install them properly and measure the results. If more adjustment is needed, we come back and do it. We’re not in the habit of throwing products at a problem and hoping for the best.
As Lisa puts it:
“Every workplace is different. That’s why we test first, install what’s needed, then come back and measure again. It’s never about fitting every product available… it’s about getting the balance right.“
What we use to fix it
Depending on what the testing shows, we draw on a range of acoustic solutions. Most projects use a combination.
Where this tends to lead
Noise is usually a symptom of a wider layout issue, and it’s common for acoustic work to open up a broader conversation about the space.
We regularly start with a noise problem and end up talking about partitioning, flooring, ceilings or a fuller office refurbishment. That’s not something we push… it’s just what tends to happen when people start looking at what’s actually causing the problem.
We’re set up to help with all of it. But if the acoustics are the only thing that needs attention right now, that’s fine too.
Environments we work in
Noise isn’t just an office problem. We’ve delivered acoustic improvements across:
Commercial offices and boardrooms, call centres and open-plan workplaces, meeting rooms within warehouses and industrial buildings, healthcare environments where speech privacy is a specific requirement, and education spaces.
If people need to meet, concentrate or communicate clearly, acoustics matter.

A bit about us
Source One is a family business, led by Lisa Lewis and a small, committed team. We’ve been working on commercial spaces across East Anglia – and further afield – since 2002. Acoustic work sits alongside our fit-out, refurbishment and partitioning services, which means we look at noise as part of the wider space rather than in isolation.
You’ll deal with the same people throughout. We’re straight with you about what’s needed and what isn’t, and we don’t disappear after installation.
As Chloe, one of our directors, puts it:
“Sometimes the smallest change makes the biggest difference. Even moving where people gather – coffee points, printers – can stop noise carrying into your quiet zones.“
