Ipswich Office Fit Out
Engineering company, Haydn Evans, were making an exciting move to new offices in central Ipswich and appointed Source One Consulting to undertake the fit out of the new workspace.
When we first visited the Hospice, the room was tired with poor lighting and lots of sound transfer problems. The finished lecture room is a stunning multi-functional space with bi-fold doors and kitchen. Find out more details below.
The new premises in Hyde Park House not only meant the Haydn Evans team were in modern office space, but also allowed the whole team to be based together for the first time – made even more poignant after a year or more of working from home.
Haydn Evans used their in-house CAD team to developed a draft floor layout and we used our expertise to help them refine this. The finished design layouts included partition walls, power and data cabling, floor boxes, signage and office furniture requirements.

Scope of works
- 70mm stud walls, complete with soundbloc plasterboard and insulation
- Strip out of existing CAT5 data and replacing with new, CAT6 data throughout
- Alterations and additions to power where required to suit new office and desking layout
- Supply and install new kitchen including all plumbing works, complete with boiling tap, dishwasher, fridge freezer and breakfast bar to create small breakout area
- Chase into existing concrete floor to create channel for power and data connecting new floor box to the TV in the Boardroom
- Supply and install comms rack suitable for Haydn Evans requirements, including ventilation into comms room
- Complete furniture installation working with height adjustable desking throughout with two runs of bespoke storage-wall
- All graphics works including reception desk signage and full wrapping of one run of storage-wall
