Rapidly growing freight forwarder Elite Universal appointed Source One to undertake office design and fit out for their move to new larger premises in Felixstowe.

Established in 2019, Elite Universal is an International Freight Forwarder and logistics provider, based in Britain’s Premier Port, Felixstowe. Since their incorporation, Source One have worked closely with Elite and supported them during their start up.

Two years on, Elite Universal have out-grown their first office and have moved into a larger office within Orwell House. Before Elite moved in, the office was slightly run down, sporting magnolia walls, blue carpet and CAT2 lighting.

Office design & space planning

Source One’s office interiors consultant, Chloe, worked closely with the Elite Universal team to develop an office design, layout and visuals for the new workspace.

Once the design had come together and was signed off, work commenced quickly. The work undertaken included:

New LED lighting throughout, including alterations to switching arrangements and upgrades to existing emergency lighting
Alterations and additions to existing power and data
Removal of existing room divider installation of new glazed wall partitions and door. Including all sound-proofing works above the ceiling
Full decoration to office
New flooring throughout
New blinds to external windows
All new office furniture throughout, including bespoke storagewall to the back wall
Vinyl wrapping of existing entrance doors to the office.

Innovative door vinyl wrapping

Replacing doors, especially fire doors, can be wasteful and a costly exercise. With this in mind, instead of replacing the slightly tired and worn entrance doors at the office we went with a vinyl wrapping solution.

The vinyl was colour and grain-matched to the existing doors and a full wrap was then applied to each door.
