New Office Fit Out in Felixstowe
Boast International appointed Source One Consulting to fit out their new Felixstowe offices. This Suffolk based project faced pandemic challenges as the lockdown delayed schedules and required adjustments to design to make the environment social distance friendly.

Office design process
The design brief was to create a modern and professional workspace for the Boast International team at the Felixstow premises. We worked closely on the design with our clients, George and Des, to make sure we were catering for team sizes, appropriate filing solutions, a brand-new boardroom (which Boast did not have before) and a simple yet stylish reception area for visitors.
For all our well laid plans, our biggest challenge turned out to be the COVID-19 UK lockdown! Not surprisingly, the pandemic meant that work had to be delayed and then rescheduled and, of course, the design itself was also reviewed to ensure it would work after lockdown. The project was also one of the first for the team to get back to when permitted… and so we also establishing safety work protocols and a lot of site cleaning!

Project scope
In a busy 5-week period Source One provided a wide range of services and projects including:
- Strip out of existing kitchen and installation of new
- Removal of existing blue blinds to windows and glass partitioning and installation of new – grey blinds to windows and white blinds to partitioning
- Removal of trunking to some areas, with updates to power and data throughout
- Update of internal Boards for power
- New flooring to offices and toilets
- New LED lighting and emergency lights throughout
- New storagewall to Boardroom and Accounts Office
- New furniture throughout
- Decoration
- New wall graphics offices and boardroom
- Painting of car park lines
- New air conditioning to George’s office
