Office refurbishment in Felixstowe, Essex
Grange Shipping in Felixstowe contacted Source One when they were expanding their team and needed to adjust their office layout to incorporate more workstations and generally refreshing the workspace.
Like many businesses, as Grange Shipping had grown it had added desks and extra items of office furniture in a relatively haphazard fashion to fit more team members in. Utilising our free space planning and office design service, a new office layout was developed that made more effective use of the space… creating room for 28 workstations.
To modernise the look and feel of the office space, we worked with the client on selecting new furniture, finishes, perspex safety screens and flooring. The new workstations has a modern finish of Nebraska Oak & White.

Story of a weekend installation
To ensure minimal disruption to our client, we scheduled all of the work to be completed over a weekend.
Arriving on site at 6pm on Friday evening, work began on stripping out all of the existing furniture and flooring, before prepping and gluing the base ready for flooring to be fitted the next morning.
Saturday was a bright and early start for the flooring fitters who were on site at 7am! The new carpet, laid in checkerboard style, was completed by 10am on Saturday morning, ready for the furniture fitters to follow them through with the built desking.
Luckily the weather was kind to us, and we were able to build everything outside, allowing the flooring fitters all the space required to have the tiles laid quickly.
All 28 desks were built and fitted by late Saturday afternoon, complete with COVID-Safe frosted perspex screens and double monitor arms fitted to maximise desking space.
A week later, we fitted bespoke worktops along the back wall of the office with bookcase-style storage above the worktop.
