Mood Boards, hands-on office design
Technology has such a big part to play in modern office design, whether it be the creation of 2D floorplans or 3D fly throughs, but sometimes there is no substitution for a more hands-on approach… introducing mood boards.
We recently put together these mood boards for a client looking to refurbish a reception, office and breakout area.
What’s a office design mood board?
In a digital world, a mood board may seem a little low tech but what better way to get a real feel for an office design?
In these boards we included floor plans, 3D images, images of office furniture solutions, fabrics, carpet samples, wood finishes and more… all so the client could see the real feel and colours rather than a computer simulation.
A way of having an informed discussion
Of course, one of the biggest benefits of a mood board in the initial office design process, is as a way to have a good client discussion over all the elements of the design.
Chatting through all of the elements, establishing likes and dislikes, addressing issues and finessing the design, is all part of the process to delivering an outstanding refurbishment or fit out.
