Felixstowe Colts back in action as Club looks forward to new season

After a very disrupted period for team sports, it was great to see the Felixstowe Colts rugby team out on the pitch again, looking resplendent in the Source One Consulting sponsored kit.

Looking forward to preseason training and a full return to rugby in September

In what has been a tricky year for sports clubs across the country we asked Rob Brewster, of Felixstowe Rugby Club, how things have been and what is coming up:

“The Club is in relatively good health. We basically went into hibernation during Covid, although we lost bar income we kept all expenditure to the minimum.

We’re looking forward to opening back up in time for the British Lions tour to South Africa. It will be good to get crowds back in the Club.

In exciting news, plans for a clubhouse extension and refurbishment have been approved. We also have our lease and plans for floodlights sorted. We’re now in full on fundraising mode to pay for it all!

However, most of all we are looking forward to preseason training and a full return to ‘normal’ rugby in September.“
