Bob & Barry’s Big Bash 2025 – Cricket, Community & A Cause That Matters
What a day at Bob & Barry’s Big Bash 2025! Eight fantastic teams came together for a brilliant, friendly cricket competition – all in support of the Bob Willis Fund, raising awareness and funds in the fight against prostate cancer. Despite a few grey clouds, the rain just about held off to make it a day to remember.
The Results 🏆
- Winners: Pitch International
- Plate Winners: The Bob Willis Fund team (well deserved!)
Special Guests & Support
The day was made even more special by the presence of cricketing greats John (JK) Lever, Tim Munton, Roland Butcher and Graham Gooch, who joined us pitch-side and helped create an unforgettable atmosphere.
A huge thank you goes to:
- Barry Hearn, for hosting the event and putting in so much behind the scenes.
- East Hanningfield & Great Burstead Cricket Club, our wonderful hosts.
- Rivals Tears, our rehydration partner.
- And of course, everyone who played, supported and cheered us on.
Cricket for a Cause 💙
Most importantly, every run scored, wicket taken, and cheer from the boundary was in support of a cause that means so much to us all – the fight against prostate cancer. All proceeds from the day will go directly to the Bob Willis Fund, helping to raise vital awareness and funds for prostate cancer research.
A Day to Remember
From the competitive edge on the pitch to the laughter, banter and BBQ off it, the Big Bash truly captured the spirit of community sport at its best.
“It was fantastic to see so many teams, supporters and cricketing legends come together for such an important cause. The spirit on and off the pitch showed exactly what this event is all about – fun, community, and raising awareness for prostate cancer. A huge thank you to everyone who made it possible.”
