Boardroom & Multi-Function Room Fit Out

We undertook a full office fit out for X-On in 2021 in those early days post Working From Home, and so we were delighted to be asked to work on an office design update now that restrictions and needs had changed.

Find out more about the project that included creating a large boardroom/multi-function room and addressing a noise issue created by wooden floors fitted to the new build prior to X-On moving in.

Changing times

X-On felt that now they were in a position to utilise one area in particular differently, using a room that wasn’t required previously to create a large boardroom/multi-function room.

Solving an office noise issue

In addition to creating the new space, X-On were experiencing increased noise from some of the new build flooring fitted prior to them moving in.

To remedy the sound issues we laid new flooring throughout the office.

In the Goods In area, we fitted vinyl safety floor to an area to help with trolley transfer and general cleaning of this area.

The new boardroom has been finished with a framed door to limit sound transfer between the room and the main office.

New boardroom/Multi-Function Space

Initially, we had to reconfigure the space which required the moving/changing of the glass partitions. These were then re-fitted with glass manifestations to match the existing space.

A ply-pattressed solid section was added to hang a TV in this room at a later date.

Within a week, we had completed the work, ready for its new use.

Noise reduced and warmer!

The new office space has proved to be much quieter to work in and our client has noticed that the new carpet tiles have also made it far warmer than the previous wooden flooring.
