Associated British Ports wished to refurbish the Engineers Office at their Ipswich site and appointed Source One to undertake all the work and manage the project.

The project was completed in just 3 weeks and included electrical, data & comms work, ceiling, flooring, partition walls and decor - images and more details below.

Project scope

This project involved everything from the initial design to full fit out, with Source One managing the project throughout. Specifically, the work included:

  • Full Project Management
  • Remove the original walls of the reception area to create a welcoming and open space
  • Strip out of existing data trunking and lighting
  • Strip out of existing flooring
  • Correction works to existing ceiling. Some of the plasterboard joints were visible, so we carried out correction works to hide these
  • Correction works where walls have been removed, plus prep work for decoration
  • New partition wall built, allowing for full height glass
  • Full decoration works, carried out by sprayer
  • Re-use and re-locate existing door, plus creation of new doorway to allow for this
  • New LED lighting and trunking throughout
  • New CAT6 data cabling
  • New safety flooring laid
  • New furniture inc desk top power modules to maximise power for each person
