Creating a stunning Kitchen and Break-out in your Office Space

kitchen and break out areasWhen considering office furniture much of the emphasis is placed on workstations, desks and chairs however, this can mean practicalities such as a well designed and laid out kitchen space can be overlooked.

Source One use their free design and space planning services to not only determine the optimum layout of desks and office furniture but also how to achieve practical and usable breakout and kitchen areas for employees.  It’s important to create hygienic and safe environments for everything from making a cup of coffee to heating up lunch!  And, of course, it is also important that the design of the space keeps noise to a minimum so as not to disturb other workers.

Whether your office is for 4 people or 104, Source One use their office designing skills to create the perfect break-out and kitchen environment and then use our expert team of plumbers, electricians, and fitter to make it a reality, on time and on budget.

Office Interior Specialist Source One Consulting Delights More Customers

We may be one of the region’s leading office interior specialists but it’s what our customers say that really counts. So it’s always particularly satisfying when a customer is delighted with our efforts and would recommend us to other business owners.

Sharedband and Source One in the East Anglian Daily TimesJust take a look at what Tim Burne, chief operating officer of Sharedband said in this week’s East Anglian Daily Times:

“We spoke to a few local office interiors companies, but Pat and Source One were the obvious choice for us, based on past performance with their clients and the speed they responded to our requirements.”

“Pat and his team were able to handle all the organisation of our project with regard to the partitioning, new data and electrics, furniture and even the dilapidation of our old premises. This released us to get on with our own tasks and leave control of all the elements of the project to Pat. A real time-saver! I would certainly recommend Pat and Source One to other business owners.”

Control the Noise in Your Office or Workplace

There is no doubt that too much noise in an office proves disruptive and distracting. It certainly does not have a positive impact on your employees or business.

However, with some effective space planning and the clever use of furniture and materials it is possible to achieve an acoustic balance that will significantly reduce the disruptive noise in your work place.

The use of partitions, screens and furniture can be an efficient way to block sound from travelling across a workspace.  The choice of extra dense core materials with absorbent outer surfaces will further soak up the sound.

Source One work with some of the leading suppliers of acoustic technology and can supply and fit specialist ceiling tiles and reverb wall panels that can absorb excessive noise.

To cover unwanted sounds, a fully digital sound masking system is a highly effective option.

If you would like to improve the acoustic balance in your office and consider the different options available give Source One a call today on 08456 131 585.

Revitalising Offices can be as Simple as New Office Screen and Office Chairs

T-Three, a consultancy company in Cambridgeshire contacted Source one as they wanted to “freshen up” their offices in Cambourne in Cambridgeshire.

The brief was to provide desk mounted office screens and office chairs in a fresh and vibrant colour to give their current offices a lift. Never being one to shirk a challenge, Operations Director, Lisa Lewis set about finding them the perfect solution within budget!

Lisa conducted out a site survey to ensure the desk mounted office partitions would fit exactly to T-Three’s existing workstations and the current layout of the furniture. The screens were then supplied and fitted by the Source One office installations team who were in and out of the premises within 90 minutes to ensure T-Three staff could carry out their duties with as little disruption as possible.

We think the office now looks fresh and amazing.

If you would like to find out more about how we can give your office a facelift, from office partitioning and space planning to office interior design and refurbishment please give us a call on  08456 031585.

Source One aiming for an Oscar or BAFTA

Lights, camera, action…. surely an Oscar or BAFTA beckons….well, may be not.

In fact, today we are filming a new short film (ok, video) all about Source One Consulting.  It’s sure to be a smash hit!

As Office Interior specialists we are somewhat more comfortable sitting in an office discussing office design, space planning, refurbishment, fit outs and office furniture than talking in front of a camera but as you can see Lisa, a Source One Director, is giving it a good go.

So why are we doing a movie (ok video)?  Well, while we know our website, brochures, testimonials and case studies give you a good understanding of how we can help your business with everything office interior related, it is diffult to get across that we are real people, who are fun to work with. Working with us will be a good experience, we will deliver on budget, on time and have some laughs together along the way, whatever the project.

If you can’t wait for the epic (ok, video) then why not give us a call today – 08456 031585 – we may have got Lisa away from the camera by then and we promise to talk to you even if we win a BAFTA!

How much Office Space and Office Storage do you need?

Office space is always at a premium for businesses but it is a real challenge to understand how much they actually need and at Source One we have seen many companies moving offices when they don’t need to and others wanting an office redesign when it simply won’t help.

To put it simply, in life a square peg rarely fits in a round hole. That’s why, first thing we do when looking at any office interior project, is carry out a thorough workplace evaluation.

Our workplace evaluation enables us to get to know your business. We take time to watch it work, understand your people and working practices, plans for future growth and all your technical requirements. This evaluation is carried out by our own directors. They set out to concentrate on four important issues:

  • Space requirements – How much office space and storage do you really need? How can you maximise the communication between departments? How will you house your IT equipment?
  • Comparative fit-out costs – What will each proposal cost to fit-out? Which will cost less to run over time?
  • Future growth – Do you have enough space to leave room for growth? Will it scale up or scale down? Is it flexible enough?
  • Office refurbishment vs. office relocation – Should you stay or should you go? Could you make more of the space you’ve already

This evaluation process provides you with the perfect base on which to make a decision about your business.  Source One can not only support your decision making process but then help you deliver your preferred option on time, on budget and with no stress.
