Standing Up in the Office Could Increase your Life Expectancy

According to recent studies Scientists claim that you could extend your life expectancy by up to 2 years simply by not sitting down for hours on end. They have discovered that adults who are only seated for a maximum of three hours a day typically live an extra two years. Such findings will of course interest or concern office workers who spend much of their day sat at their desks.

Some of the sensible advice from the Chief Medical Officer and the British Heart Foundation includes workers taking the stairs rather than a lift at work, walking over to speak to colleagues and standing when taking phone calls.
